What Does MCCLV Believe?
People from diverse faith backgrounds and no faith backgrounds attend Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley. On any given Sunday there are worshipers in the sanctuary who grew up Catholic, Mainline Protestant, Evangelical, or Pentecostal. There are also worshippers who grew up Muslim, Hindu or Jewish. And there are worshippers who do not have any previous religious affiliation. All are always warmly welcome.

Some of MCCLV's approaches include:
- If you attend a Bible Study at MCCLV you will likely hear the pastor say: "we take the Bible seriously, though not literally"
- MCCLV recognizes that scripture is inspired by God but is also the work of human hands and is open to a rich diversity of interpretations
- MCCLV leans trinitarian though some in attendance identify as unitarian
- MCCLV recognizes Jesus as fully God and fully human through the miracle of the incarnation
- MCCLV rejoices in the gift of eternal life through the miracle of the resurrection
- MCCLV understands that we are saved by faith through the grace of God revealed in Jesus Christ
- MCCLV recognizes that some people have been gifted by the Spirit to speak in tongues, as long as there is interpretation of tongues
- Most worshipers at MCCLV are universalists when it comes to salvation, believing that God forgives and welcomes all people into heaven, the only unforgivable sin being blasphemy against the Holy Spirit
