Grocery Card Program - MCCLV fights food insecurity by providing Grocery Cards to local families in need. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in March, 2020, MCCLV had provided over $13,000 in Grocery Cards.
Donations to the program can be made via PayPal by typing "Grocery Cards" in the notes section.
Serving the Homeless Utilizing COVID-19 safe practices, volunteers from MCCLV will have the opportunity to provide healthy dinners and bagged breakfasts once monthly November through April. There are opportunities to serve while quarantining at home as well as in person. In Person: Volunteers are needed to show up at the shelter, serve meals to the clients and clean up. The Outreach & Justice Team will be able to accommodate volunteer availability by working in shifts. From Home: Volunteers are needed to help provide food that will be prepared at the shelter. Dinner meals must be prepared on the premises, but desserts and the breakfast bags can be prepared at home for assigned meal days.

The Green Team is challenging the MCCLV community to promote environmental preservation and good health with Meatless Mondays. This challenge encourages everyone to have 1 meatless day a week. At the beginning of 2022 there will be a raffle with prizes for those who participated. (EXAMPLE: If I go meatless for 30 days in the year 2021, then I get 30 raffle entries for the prizes. Max number of entries 53 per person.) Keep track of your meatless days with the scorecard found here:
